Voices on the drinktec – expectations at Krones
Only one more week to go now until finally the long-awaited green light for the drinktec 2017. I myself am meanwhile getting a bit excited, especially after I recently sneaked a peek of our hall – the fair and everything to do with it are slowly but surely coming together. But what about my colleagues – not least in other departments? After all, many parts of the company are working flat out to make the year’s highlight a success. So it seems like a good time to let some of our colleagues have their say:
Stefan Kraus – Product Manager Filling Technology
I work as a Product Manager in Filling Technology, and in this field I handle all the issues relevant to the drinktec, which is why I will also be present at the stand on every day of the fair.
I hope to be able to meet a lot of interested visitors, and I’m looking forward to talking with other experts, to philosophising about new technologies, and to personally interacting very closely with our clients during the fair. I’m also looking forward to the numerous innovations and highlights we shall be showcasing at the fair.
Tobias Markl – Product Designer
As part of my training, I was recently posted to our Research and Development Department for about three months. So I’ve already had an opportunity to see what’s going to be on show at the drinktec. Which means it’s no wonder I’m interested in finding out how the systems whose individual parts I helped to design on the screen as 3D models will then be presented on the stand as a finished machine.
Anna Pfanzelt – Sales Spain, Portugal, Turkey
The drinktec is extremely important for all of us in Sales, of course: it’s a unique opportunity to meet lots of clients all at once. For me in the back office, it’s particularly exciting: I don’t continually visit clients, it’s true, but I nonetheless interface with them quite a lot. So I shall probably be traveling to the fair for one day, in order to meet visitors and put faces to a whole lot of. In addition, I want to have a look at the exhibits and bring myself up to speed on what’s new.
Pia Mendl – Corporate Communication
The drinktec will be my first fair of this size – so I’m understandably exited to see what’s in store for me. I shall be there for the whole week, and together with my colleagues will be looking after the relevant social media, so as to report on the fair for you with the latest news every day: I’m really looking forward to some lively mutual feedback with clients and colleagues!
Rusmel Munoz – Global Quality Management
As a former sales executive, I’ve already been to a drinktec, and I know from first-hand experience how important this event is for us, since we can showcase our very latest technologies and products to the whole world, and as a Krones employee this makes you very proud, of course. My expectations for the drinktec are huge: I’m hoping for numerous deals to be closed and new accounts gained. And I wish all my colleagues every success and lots of fun at the drinktec 2017!
Matthias Karl – Corporate Communication
Since during my internship I’ve been directly involved in the preparations for the drinktec 2017, and have made quite a few videos for the fair, I can hardly wait to see the machines live on the stand. I’m also keen to see how the entire visual and auditory concepts have been staged, by which I mean the “show” element in Krones’ hall.
Isabell Tauber – Detail Designer CRD Emerging Technologies
The drinktec is the hotspot for global premieres in the beverage and liquid food industries. Krones will this year, for instance, be showcasing the first commercial digital printing machine for direct printing on containers – the DecoType Select. Here, the containers are pretreated, printed on using the Ink-Jet process and then set. Since I was involved in the project right from the start, I’m looking forward most particularly to the reactions of the visitors to the fair.
Alexander Zimmermann – Product Designer
And to sum it all up, here’s Alex:
The entire company is looking forward to the 2017, and can hardly wait for it to start on 11 September. And my colleagues are, of course, just as eager to find out what exhibits our competitors will come up with – but it won’t be long now before these secrets will also be revealed.
So it looks as if there’s no shortage of motivation in the various parts of the company – in this spirit, I wish you an exciting drinktec 2017!
