The whole world is our stage – our programme for 2016

Sydney, Algiers, Philadelphia, Mexico City, Bangkok, Nuremberg. In this sequence.

Did we do our holiday planning in January? We did that as well, yes, but we think this is of probably of very minor interest to our readers, so we’re keeping that to ourselves and centring this article around a different “itinerary”. Mind you, this doesn’t relate to just one trip, as is usually the case. Rather, the venues listed above are just some of the stops in Krones’ exhibition diary for 2016. And these six cities alone make one thing perfectly clear: this year, too, the whole world will be our stage. Excluding (so far, but who knows?) the Antarctic, Krones is represented at fairs and exhibitions on every continent – on almost all of them even more than once.

Six continents, hugely disparate topics, completely different events: few think this most certainly deserves a brief preview.

Since the end of January, our colleagues have been travelling the world and visiting a number of international events so as to provide information on the latest development work ongoing at Krones and to start a dialogue with anyone interested. Mind you, this does not always have to take place at a classical exhibition stand. In March, for example, some of our colleagues will be chairing a workshop in Sydney and making their contribution to the Asia Pacific Convention, by sharing the knowledge they have in their respective specialisms and entering into a dialogue with other experts. April, then, will see a “classical fair”, in the shape of the DJAZAGRO, which is the quintessential meeting point for Algeria’s food and beverage industries.

As from May, the stands’ floor space will then get quite a bit s bigger: at the Craft Brewers Conference with the accompanying BrewExpo in Philadelphia, for example. These two events are in their entirety focused on what in the USA is a very large field – craft brewing. On the craft beer blog, you will surely be able to read quite a few stories we will be bringing back from over there during the course of the year.

And the next major exhibition highlight? Likewise still in May, we will be showcasing our capabilities at the Expo Pack in Mexico City. This one has meanwhile been specifically relocated to new premises so as to offer enough space for the more than 1,000 exhibitors – for us, a brilliant backdrop for demonstrating our packaging expertise.

Now only two continents from our above-mentioned itinerary are missing. One of our biggest platforms for showcasing our capabilities in Asia this year is the ProPak Asia in Bangkok, same as last year. There we shall from 15 to 18 June be presenting our solutions to this continent’s market players.

After a somewhat quieter summer break, we shall then be picking up speed again for the second half of the year as from August: for the CBB (China Brew & Beverage), we shall be travelling to Asia once more, to Shanghai in actual fact.

And in a fulminating final, our 2016 exhibition year will then draw to a close, with our participation in the Pack Expo in Chicago, the Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai, the BrauBeviale in Nuremberg and the Emballage in Paris.

And this is really all of it? Of course not! Between the fairs and exhibitions mentioned, you will be able to find us at numerous other, in some cases relatively small events – for up-to-date information on these, please go to our social media channels sites and/or to our website.

We are looking forward to meeting our readers at one fair or another, perhaps even on different continents! See you around!
