The best answers to the Top Ten of the hotline queries

 

Bottling and canning lines incorporate sophisticated technology. And thus, of course, everything has to be perfectly intermeshed so as to ensure optimum results. If there are any difficulties with a machine, then Krones offers rapid-response assistance over its telephone hotline.

The Krones Academy has now analysed the questions asked by callers there, and, for three machines (stretch blow-moulder, filler and labeller), has compiled the Top Ten in each case for the most frequent reasons why a client rings up to report a machine malfunction. On this basis, in seminars lasting several days, the analytical routines and trouble-shooting approaches involved at the machines are tabulated, and the options for swift remedial action are practised on the academy’s own machines. The aim is for the participants to learn how to solve problems quickly, to purposefully prevent malfunctions before they happen, and to avoid standstills. What’s already been practised on the academy’s machines can also be achieved under pressure when real-life remedial action is required.

The seminars will be available as from early 2017, for the Contiroll labeller, the Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine, and for fillers. “Top Ten”, though, is not designed for beginners: the target group is rather operators and mechanics with basic knowledge of the machine concerned.
