Something new yet again
They’re admittedly rather small, but they’ve already clocked up plenty of experience. From the tranquil little town of Nittenau, they have set out into the big wide world. At the end of March they flew to Melbourne, Australia, and then straight on to Thailand, to the teeming, bustling metropolis of Bangkok. The small travellers involved are the valves from Krones’ Evoguard subsidiary.
This year, they’re probably Krones AG’s most frequently spotlighted exhibit, since they’re successfully on show at almost every trade fair. And at the Bevtec Asia in Bangkok in May 2015, they’re even the sole star on Krone’ stand. Because besides the four different valves, Krones AG is at the fair highlighting general information on the Krones family and a presentation of the firm’s broadly based problem-solving expertise.
On Stand C01, directly behind the main entrance, from 6 to 8 May, Krones AG and its subsidiaries will be showcasing their corporate capabilities on an area of 36 m2. And this is virgin territory in every respect: this year, not only is Krones a first-time exhibitor at this trade fair for beverage technology – in fact, the entire fair is being held for the very first time! The organisers want the Bevtec to provide a platform for Asia’s growing beverage and brewing industries, primarily for companies from South-East Asia, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and the Near East. The choice of Bangkok as the venue was no accident: here, not only are more than two billion litres of beer produced each year, but also more cans of juice and concentrates are exported then in most other countries of the world. So when you’re talking about the growth of the beverage industry in Asia, Thailand cannot be ignored.
And even though the Bevtec is only now being premiered, Bangkok is by no means virgin territory for Krones. For years now, Krones AG has been a regular exhibitor at the ProPak Asia, which is also held in the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). But whereas the ProPak Asia (as the name indicates) concentrates mainly on packaging technology, the Bevtec has a much more generalised focus. The theme here can be summarised vey simply under the keyword of “beverages”. The fair is designed for manufacturers and vendors of machines, technologies and materials used in breweries, distilleries and wineries, but also for the producers of soft drinks, juices, water and dairy products. So Krones is primarily hoping to meet new customers at the Bevtec, ones who because they are not close to the packaging industry will not be visiting the ProPak.
And the Evoguard valves? For them, after the Bevtec they’ll be back on their travels. First they’ll be staying in in Bangkok for the ProPak Asia, before proceeding to Myanmar in proceeding to Myanmar in September. Then it’s back home to Nittenau – or perhaps a bit more globetrotting?! So life is definitely not going to be boring for these much-in-demand exhibits. And maybe in two years’ time they’ll be back in Bangkok – at the next Bevtec Asia.
