On your marks, get set, drinktec!


Tomorrow at 9 o’clock in the morning, the doors of the exhibition centre in Munich will open – a moment the entire sector has been eagerly anticipating. And the green light is a special moment, too, for the team at Krones responsible for creating the concept and the stand for the fair. Because the past weeks and months have for all of us been overwhelmingly dominated by the drinktec– at first “just” internally, but for some time now in terms of external communication as well and the erection work in Munich as well.

When I admit that the preparations for a fair of this calibre are not always an unalloyed pleasure, I’m probably not telling you anything you didn’t already know. In the last few weeks, particularly, though, the individual pieces of the planning puzzle have been jointed together, and now constitute a coherent whole: Krones’ stand at the fair has been completed.

When you visit Krones at the fair, you will – as you are accustomed to from Krones at the drinktec – in Hall B6 be able to immerse yourselves in our entire product portfolio. Because on an area of almost 11.000 square metres we have rendered the very latest technologies from the House of Krones accessible as a hands-on experience. And as in the visual depiction of our portfolio, digitalisation constitutes the overarching roof. It will hardly have escaped anyone’s notice that it is one of the paramount keynotes of this year’s fair– if not of the entire 21st century.

So as soon as the fair is officially opened tomorrow morning, the tension will start to subside and be succeeded by pleasurable anticipation. Because there are five days full of exciting topics, new contacts, familiar faces and a whole lot of #GermanBlingBling in store for us.
