Mahlzeit @ Krones
Over the course of time, quite a few great poets have cogitated on friendship, love and happiness, and eternalised their thoughts for posterity in the shape of quotations and poems. But it’s not only these values that have inspired numerous muse-kissed souls to lyrical flights of fancy. The topic of “food and drink” also offers plenty of material for inspiration and quotable epigrams.
Here are just a few of the innumerable sayings people are fond of quoting when it comes to food and drink…
“Age and glasses of wine should never be counted.”
“An empty stomach is a poor advisor.”
“The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
… and the Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw even went so far as to say that there was no love more sincere than the love of food.
Eating and drinking, then, are more than just means to an end. Both of them bring people together, symbolise enjoyment, and thus make a meaningful contribution towards our personal wellbeing.
That fish and chips, chicken tikka masala and kebabs can do a lot more than fill our stomachs and at best satisfy our hunger cravings is something we experience at Krones every day. Reason enough, then, to devote an account called mahlzeit_at_krones to all the culinary delicacies that our staff feast on at Krones facilities worldwide or during business trips.
And what channel could be more suitable for the Krones Food stories than Instagram? The place where umpteen millions of users round the clock ensure with their photos of appetisingly prepared meals, snacks, smoothies and juices that everyone else’s mouths start to water just by looking at them … Right, Krones, too, has been represented there with a second channel as from February of this year, and since then has served up something gorgeous every working day at lunchtime. Always under the hashtag of #mahlzeitkrones, of course. Why are we doing this? It’s very simple: because we want the users and our followers to be able to see at a glance everything that Krones has to offer in terms of food and drink. In addition, our internal staff from all nations thus have an opportunity to learn more about the culinary delicacies their colleagues favour – a sort of convivial gathering at the “big Krones dining table”. And finally, of course, besides eating, as you know, there’s nothing nicer than talking about it, is there? 🙂
Whether photographed in the canteens of the Krones facilities all over the world, at the workplace, in the bistro round the corner, in the plane during a business trip, or simply as a dish lovingly prepared by one of our staff – a multiplicity of culinary delicacies finally make it onto our “medial silver salver” at Instagram.
Has this given you an appetite, or are you simply seeking an idea for your dinner this evening or tomorrow’s mid-morning snack? Then mahlzeit_at_krones would definitely be a great source of inspiration.
And if you perhaps have a photo or video of your feast for the eyes, then feel free to send it to us at socialmedia@krones.com or simply hashtag it with #mahlzeitkrones! 🙂
