Washington calling

There are events you have to attend and there are events you want to attend. If you’re lucky, some events are both. The combination of the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America – CBC for short – is both.

The CBC has become a mainstay event for the brewing world, taking place in a different major US city each year and drawing beer industry people from all around the world every year. A dizzying array of sectors and professions come together at the CBC, all connected by a common thread: They all share a passion for beer – good beer. Philadelphia hosted last year’s CBC. And now, the international beer community is preparing to make its annual pilgrimage in April 2017, this time to Washington D.C.

The US capital hosted the CBC in 2013, but much has changed since then. The craft beer movement as a whole is now incredibly larger and more international and the beer scene in Washington D.C. has become a good deal more interesting. So, visitors will have even more to look forward to than the classes and workshops at the CBC itself and the BrewExpo trade show – including a variety of events at the city’s breweries and brew pubs.

Krones AG will be at the CBC from April 11 to 13 to show what we have to offer craft brewers. Two main exhibits will take center stage: the Steinecker MicroCube and Krones Craftmate. Of course, the Krones booth will also be a great place to find good conversations and opportunities to make new connections and catch up with old acquaintances. There’s hardly another event like it that brings in so many people from the (craft) beer industry in North America and around the world in a single city.
